Cathy Weaver Taylor

Sometimes a poem will find it self connected to the artwork, and I like to show them together to fuse the verbal and nonverbal message...
— Cathy Weaver Taylor

Cathy works with paper cut outs, as she is most at home with a pair of scissors in her hand. She likes to arrange and rearrange the pieces until she has a sense of balance and message.

Use of transparency and luminosity lets the light shine through the work.  She also works with reflection to add an extra dimension.

Cathy often works with multiples, taking one image and making many more much like paper dolls from a folded piece of paper. Sometimes the patterns become mandalas or banners.

Sometimes a poem will find it self connected to the artwork, and she likes to show them together to fuse the verbal and nonverbal message.

The printed images from the cutouts work well for individually printed graphics. Prints of her work have sold well for over 15 years. She also has cards for some of her favorites.

Cathy also works with assemblage as a kind of three dimensional collage incorporating other textures and materials.

Rebecca Tuck

I like making crafts with a purpose. I never like the idea of making something that will collect dust on a shelf.
Reforming and reshaping metals of any material has become a very fun time in my studio.

What makes your work special?

I am a metal artist. I use steel, copper, and all recycled metal materials including antique silver plated silverware. I love collecting "junk" and finding ways of making "useful" art for the home and garden.

What would you like us tell customers about you?:

I went to Massachusetts College of Art and Design for Performance art and metal sculpture. I was trained to weld and collect junk by my father who has been a welder by trade all of his life. My garden is full of metal flower sculptures.

Suzanne Finn

When creating a business, it’s best to do what you know and like so that the passion to continue creating is there. I have a passion for the Victorian era and have always found myself drawn to old, forgotten things. Items like old coins, and keys are interesting to me because they have a history. They can tell you much about the time in which they were created by the amount of wear and tear, the pictures etched on them, and their rust and patina.
— Suzanne Finn

What makes your work special?

Repurposing items to bring them back to life as a way to remember our history. I use typewriter keys, coins, skeleton keys, vintage paper, and buttons.

What would you like customers to know about you?

I enjoy taking old discarded items and breathing new life into them. I create simple, wearable jewelry pieces that allow the vintage pieces being upcycled to shine.
